What is a Police Clearance Certificate
This document is needed for all when applying to certain institutions for the confirmation of no conviction in the territory of Ukraine at the moment of the certificate issuance. The document of no conviction is issued in the authorities of internal affairs all over Ukraine, regardless of the place of residence or the actual residence of a person.
Most often, a certificate is required and its further processing for going abroad, it is recognized by all countries. Information on non-conviction after receipt can be legalized in order to provide the necessary country to the authorities. Each country puts its own requirements for the certificate legalization:
The term of validity of a police clearance certificate is limited, for the presented abroad is 90 days, the certificate for internal use is valid within 30 days.
For what purpose the certificate may be needed
It is necessary to confirm the no conviction quite often while traveling abroad, and in the territory of the home country. When making the certificate for abroad one should take into account the term of validity of the document, and the certificate for internal use has the term of validity of only 30 days. All nuances regarding the certificate for each purpose should be considered. And the purposes of the document presentation may be as follows:
- getting/renewal of residence permit or permanent residence permit (residence permit);
- participation in tenders (together with the corruption certificate and the bankruptcy certificate);
- registration of adoption;
- registration of citizenship;
- registration (re-registration) of official personal documents;
- presentation in banking and other credit organizations.
You cannot manage without a police clearance certificate when you make a special permit for weapons, proper registration of land or when employing at a specific position in Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The police clearance certificate may be required abroad in the following cases:
- visa opening;
- admission in foreign higher educational institutions;
- employment abroad;
- getting residence permit in another country;
- issuance of international passport;
- in a number of cases upon documents presentation in institutions abroad.
Why getting the certificate alone is not profitable?
